Bloodstains Across Puerto Rico

Here's a post from Yoel - Bloodstains Across Puerto Rico. I made a cover from Bloodstains Across California but it's a piss-poor job I may say. Thanks to Yoel for the upload, keep it coming bro!

Well, I made some changes in the cover because I can't fucking takeit. Still not as good, but way much better than the previous attempt. hehe

Rollins Band live with Keith Morris

Here's another post from Terrorizer. Actually, he snagged this from a blogspot somewhere but he can't remember where. So re-upload it to mediafire himself and send the link to me.

I think, this one's recorded in the wake of the West Memphis Three trials. I think the Rise Above Compilation for the West Memphis 3 was just been released. Keith & Henry shared the bill and played Black Flag songs. The first half of the record was with Keith Morris and the second one was with Hank. They also did two Ramones covers here as encores. Below are the complete tracklist:

01 - Intro by Keith Morris

02 - Nervous breakdown

03 - I've had it

04 - Depression

05 - Wasted

06 - Keith speaks

07 - No values

08 - Fix me

09 - Revenge

10 - Gimme gimme gimme

11 - Rise above

12 - Thirsty and miserable

13 - Clocked in

14 - I've heard it before

15 - American waste

16 - Henry speaks

17 - Jealous again & Room 13

18 - I don't care

19 - TV party

20 - Can't decide

21 - Police story

22 - Six pack

23 - What I see

24 - No more

25 - Black coffee

26 - Slip it in

27 - My war

28 - Intermezzo Henry talks

29 - Damaged

30 - Play free bird

Coroner

One of the most underrated acts of their time, the Swiss thrash trio Coroner were originally members of Celtic Frost's road crew. They eventually formed their own group, recording their demo "Death Cult" in 1986 with Tom G. Warrior of Celtic Frost on vocals. Their first full length album "R.I.P", released in 1987, featured bass player Ron Royce on vocals and he assumed the role for the rest of the group's existence. The group released several albums through 1993, ending with a greatest hits collection, "Coroner", in 1995. Lack of media exposure brought this band to disbanding in 1994 - and eventually to their farewell tour consequent to their self titled album. As of March 2005, rumours of a reunion in the works are hitting the heavy metal newspages persistently.

Rumble Militia

Rumble Militia is a Thrash /Crossover band from Germany. There are familiar riffs here and there in their records, say from Metallica among others, but it's not like it's a bad thing. Actually, this is a post from my long-time partner in crime Terrorizer and another friend J-E-L-L-O from Indonesia. Terrorizer is so in the mood for Trash/Crossover bands lately that it kind of inspired me to dig into my thrash/crossover collection, hence the previous posts of Voivod & Hirax.

Anyways, here's Germany's own Thrash/Crossover band Rumble Militia courtesy of Terrorizer, thanks for the upload bro. Enjoy!!!

Chopseuy Mega Post

Chopseuy is a Chinese food which is a mixture of different vegetables. Here in the Philippines, it also came to know as anything with varied ingredients, just like this post. It's a fine mixture of punk, hardcore, thrash metal and grunge - some of the things I'm listening at the moment. Kinda like my state of mind right now.

Most of the bands here need no introduction like Conflict (UK), Hirax, Voivod, New Model Army while others are not so 'popular' like Dead Brain Cells from Canada, At War and U-Men plus a Sub Pop (yes Sub Pop, Nirvana's former label) Compilation. I included this comp because the line up's great - Sonic Youth, Scratch Acid, U-Men, Naked Raygun, Wipers, Savage Republic, Skinny Puppy and more.
Enjoy!

Conflict - Increase the Pressure (Live)

Hirax - Hate Fear & Power

Voivoid - Killing Technology

Voivod - Dimension Hatross

DBC - Dead Brain Cells

DBC - Universe

New Model Army - Ghost of Cain

U-men - Step on a Bug

U-men - Solid Action

VA - Sub Pop 100

OS101

Another fine release from Victory Records. I learned about it when I bought the sampler Victory Style 1 & 2. Standouts from those compilations were Snapcase, Cause for Alarm and OS101. I was immediately hooked with their songs 316 and Six & Sevens. So when United Brotherhood of Scenesters was actually released, I immediately bought it and blasted it for a week or so.
OS101 rose from the ashes of the 80's hardcore band Hogan's Heroes.

Run Devil Run - Sinking Deeper

I stayed away from this band for so long because of their name. Because I don't know what to make of it, is it hardcore, new metal or what. This was actually released here in the Philippiines along with other fine releases from the Victory Records roster. But finally, a friend of mine grabbed a hold of a copy of Sinking Deeper and he immediately told me about how good this band was. So I went out to buy the record but unfortunately it has been 2 years since its release so I had a hard time finding it. After about six months of hunting, I got lucky and sure as hell very satisfied with the record I almost missed out because of a not-so-good a name. Shame on me.
Anyways, Run Devil Run is a Straight Edge hardcore band from Cleveland and this is a very fine release. So, enjoy!

Tribute to Impetigo - Wizards of Gore

Impetigo is a death/grind/gore band from Illinois. They're one of the progenitors of 'gore'. I actually posted Ultimo & Horror of Zombies when I was still a contributor in my good friend's blog, Slobodan's Only In It For the Music. I'm just reposting the two just in case you missed it the first time. Plus, Here's a Tribute to Impetigo, the true wizards of gore! Enjoy!

The Accused - Archive Tapes 81-86

Here's the Accused megapost. Other blogs has already posted other Accused stuff like Martha Splatterhead, Straight Razor, etc. So, here's the other Accused's records that I think were not yet posted. I hope.

Fusing hardcore punk and heavy metal into a furiously thrashing hybrid, Seattle's the Accused invariably described to their style as "splattercore," a reference to their chief lyrical inspirations -- horror films and comic-book violence. It was a far cry from the political leanings of vocalist/bandleader Blaine Cook's previous band, the Fartz, but it gave them a definite crossover appeal among both punk and metal audiences. With their roots in hardcore, the Accused presaged the rise of the Seattle scene, but never fit into the grunge movement that sprang up around them. Some of their key personnel went on to join the grunge-metal band Gruntruck, but in their own lifespan, the Accused were a different enough beast that they weren't able to capitalize on all the attention afforded the Northwest underground. The Accused were formed in Seattle in 1981, originally consisting of vocalist John Dahlin, guitarist Tom Niemeyer, bassist Chibon "Chewy" Batterman, and drummer Dana Collins. Their first release was a split LP with the Rejectors, at which point they were playing straight-ahead hardcore. However, the other members' taste for metal pushed Dahlin out of the band in 1984, and his place was taken by ex-Fartz vocalist Blaine Cook (reverting to his real name after billing himself as Blaine Fart). Powered by Cook's demented vocals, the band issued its limited-edition debut EP, Martha Splatterhead (named after their monstrous new mascot), on the small Condor Records label.Continuing to hone their sound through touring, the Accused finally completed their first full-length LP in 1986; issued on Subcore Records, The Return of Martha Splatterhead established their hyperspeed approach and earned them a deal with the thrash label Combat. During the supporting tour, bassist Batterman was asked to leave, and the group brought in Alex "Maggot Brain" Sibbald as his replacement. Sibbald made his debut on 1987's More Fun Than an Open Casket Funeral, which significantly expanded the group's cult following. The 1988 follow-up, Martha Splatterhead's Maddest Stories Ever Told, featured a guest appearance by Metal Church guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof.Combat subsequently dropped the Accused, who signed with a Seattle-area label called Nastymix, which was primarily associated with rap (specifically, launching the career of Sir Mix-a-Lot). There was also a change on the drumming front: Dana Collins departed in 1988, and was replaced by Steve Nelson for the half-studio, half-live Hymns for the Deranged mini-album. Following his exit, the powerhouse Josh Sinder came onboard in 1989, and appeared on the group's Nastymix debut, Grinning Like an Undertaker, the following year. 1991 brought the Straight Razor EP, and also the departure of Sinder, who joined Tad; he was replaced by Devin for the final Accused album, 1992's Splatter Rock. Niemeyer joined Skin Yard vocalist Ben McMillan in the grunge-metal band Gruntruck, a later version of which included Sibbald and Sinder as well; Sibbald and Sinder would later move on to a new project, the Hot Rod Lunatics. Cook sang for a time with a new band called the Black Nasty, whose lone album was released only locally. - Allmusic Guide

Mission of Burma - Vs.

Mission of Burma is a short-lived band from Boston formed in 1979. They released several singles which was later collected in Signals, Marches and Calls. Their only full-length album was VS. And I have to say, I am impressed. It's a nice mixture of punk and indie music.

The Accused - Grinning Like an Undertaker

This is the album I almost passed on. The Accused's Grinning Like an Undertaker was actually released here in the Philippines! In cassette format, but I didn't believe at the time that is was the Seattle band, so I didn't buy it. But I surfed the net about it and found out that it the real deal. So the next day, I rushed to the record store where I found it and it's gone. That was 1993. 13 years later, a friend of mine finally gave me a copy of it... Thanks Terrorizer!!!

Anyways, here's the Accused's third album of "splatterrock" - Grinning like an Undertaker!!!

Enjoy.

Flattbush - Smash the Octopus

Flattbush is a Filipino Grindcore band based in California. Signed to Koolarow Records of Billy Gould (Faith No More, Brujeria), they released their debut album called Smash the Octopus in 2003 produced by Billy Gould. They are the signees of the said record label. Their music was described as brutal, unapologetic, breathless, never restrained, impressive and chaotic. You can't go wrong with those adjectives. This band, along with Eskapo, another Filipino Hardcore band based in California as well, really makes me proud of being a Filipino. Enough talk. Enjoy!

*All my files are deleted by Mediafire, even my account! So, I'll be uploading in a new file hosting site so I'll be needing your comments & inputs about it. You can request for re-ups on RECENT posts.

Napalm Death Split Albums

Napalm Death is one of the most influential bands to ever emerge from the UK. Though they have gone off to pursue other musical genre, their early works, especially their album Scum remains a classic and a meterstick where every grindcore/extreme bands are measured. Here are two great Split albums from this great band. First one is a Split with the equally great and influential band, Extreme Noise Terror (my personal favorite). And the other one is the Split with one of Japan's finest bands (SxOxBx). Need I say more? Enjoy!!!

I gotta change the title of the post, read the comments! hehe
