Well, these are the records I'm recently abusing. Some people call it Heavy Rotation (hey, I should add a Heavy Rotation section here!). Balthasar Gerards Kommando
Well, it's been a while since the last post since I've been having a shitty connection at home. So here I am, posting this via an internet shop!
Anyways, I read about this band in MRR way back in my college days. I think, Cheetah Chrome Motherfuckers were in that issue too. After several years, I finally got a hold Jonestown Aloha and I was completely blown away by it. The production is kinda raw, but that's the way I like it. I totally dig this. Grab this one, it's a classic.

Named after a Dutch historical figure who assassinated the king of the Netherlands in 1584, Balthasar Gerards Kommando was formed in the early '80s by members of Amsterdam punk band the Nitwitz. Rejecting the then-popular trend to emulate British Oi bands, BGK took their musical cues from American hardcore bands such as MDC, and soon developed an ultrafast style of their own. The band was also committed to following through with its leftist political stance, both in terms of the punk scene (the band set up DIY shows with low door prices, and put out affordable records on their own label) and in a wider political spectrum (they often played benefits for various causes, and helped run the Emma squat in Holland).BGK released all their records on a label they started in their Nitwitz days, Vögelspin, and collaborated with U.S. labels R Radical and Alternative Tentacles. They helped touring bands playing in the Netherlands, and themselves toured Europe and the U.S. several times, finally calling it quits in 1987.After BGK's demise, bassist Tony formed rock'n'roll band Loveslug. In 1996, the Nitwitz reunited (partially due to interest from Epitaph records), and may or may not still be around to this day. Alternative Tentacles has recently reissued BGK's entire catalog, both on vinyl and CD.

One Last Drop
Here's one of my all-time favorite bands and they released a collection of all their recordings aptly named One Last Drop.
Anthrax were an anarcho punk band formed in Gravesend, Kent, England in 1980. They recorded their first demo in 1981 and went on to release two 7" EPs on Crass Records and Small wonder. They appeared on compilations released by Crass Records, Mortarhate Records and Fightback Records. They toured outside the UK twice in the Netherlands with Dutch band The Ex.
In 2007 the band compiled a compilation CD entitled One Last Drop which includes both demos, both EPs, the Mortarhate compilation track and 2 live tracks. (from Wiki)

Another Girl, Another Planet
The Only Ones is one of those punk bands who had enjoyed "fame" outside the punk circle. Their most famous song, Another Girl... was covered by such diverse bands such as the Replacements, The Libertines and Blinnk 182.

Led by singer/songwriter Peter Perrett, England's Only Ones combined the energy of the punk movement and a more traditional sense of rock craft, with Perrett singing his goodnatured tortured-romantic lyrics in a distinctive (and not unpleasant) whine. The quartet's mix of youthful spunk and seasoned experience (drummer Mike Kellie was a member of Spooky Tooth and bassist Alan Mair's résumé stretched back to the early '60s) helped gain the Only Ones quick prominence, but only one song — the much-covered "Another Girl, Another Planet" — earned the highly touted group any lasting acclaim.
The Only Ones (which includes that stupendous number) is the best of the three original albums. Perrett's languid vocals and songs provide the character and focus, while the band's skills carry it off handsomely. Even Serpents Shine varies little from its predecessor and contains some captivating material, but lacks anything as great as "Another Girl, Another Planet." Special View picks tracks off both albums and adds the two sides of the band's self-released 1977 debut single for an introductory lesson in the Only Ones' early oeuvre.
Although finally realizing simultaneous release in the US and the UK with the Colin Thurston-produced Baby's Got a Gun, the Only Ones' commercial success was still too slight to sustain them, and they called it quits in 1981. The group's cult status has grown steadily ever since, as evidenced (or at least encouraged) by a stream of posthumous releases. Remains and Alone in the Night are decent collections of non-album material. The songs on Live predate the CBS albums; it shows the band to have been firmly in musical control even at that early juncture. The Peel Sessions Album compiles sixteen BBC recordings from 1977 to '80, and is actually a stronger representation of the Only Ones' gifts than any of the band's studio albums.
The England's Glory disc offers ten 1973 demos by Perrett's pre-Only Ones combo (including future Squeeze bassist Harry Kakoulli) and demonstrates nascent talent as well as an overriding Lou Reed fixation. Salvation Army
This is not an actual post, I stole this one from Tune Lovin' Jackets blog. Well, I read about the band Salvation Army but never had a chance to actually hear them. And then I stumbled upon this blog that posted Befour Three O'Clock (aka Salvation Army). And I was totally blown away. Their music is not hardcore (which what I usually post along with crust) but punk with psychedelic undertones. Their music, in my opinion, is a cross between the Ramones, the Hard-Ons and a little bit of early Manic Street Preachers'(!). I've downloaded it last Wednesday, I haven't listened to anything else ever since!
This is a departure from my usual playlist of hardcore and crust. I was listening (and abusing) my Hellkrusher collection prior to this, but I guess I needed a change of pace.
If you like paisley underground, post punk, power pop, indie pop and so on, visit Tune Lovin' Jacket, you're not gonna be disappointed.

Antisect
Sorry about my slow posting, I’m kind of busy and all, but here’s a post that should make up for my being slow. Here’s one of the pioneers of Crust…ANTISECT!!!
I copy/pasted the band’s history from one of the sites dedicated to Antisect. For more info about the band click here.
Antisect were formed in 1982 in Daventry, Northants, UK.
The founder members were:
Pete (Lippy) Lyons - Guitar/Vox
Pete (Polly) - Drums
Renis (Wink) Rekiki - Bass
Pete (Little Pete) Boyce - Vox.
The line up changed slighty over the years, to include:
Lawrence - Let me know?????
Rich Hill- Vox (Boyce was also on Vox)
Caroline Wallis- backing Vox
Tom Lowe (ex - Varukers) - Bass
and finally John Bryson - Bass/Vox.
The Album "In darkness....there is no choice" was recorded at Southern and released 1983. Produced by Colin "Coal Bunker" (Flux of Pink Indians), and it reached No. 4 in the indie charts. This was followed by the single " Out from the void".
Later material which was never released as a studio album include Behind the lines, New dark ages, Bedlam and Into the flames. These are available only in live format.
The album was recorded but not finished and unfortunately never released. Sad because some of the later stuff was very powerful.
Other releases include the live LP "Peace is better than a place in history".
There were a number of live bootlegs that were around thru' most of the 80's, most notably " Live at Fulham Greyhound 22/01/83".
Also a live LP " Hallo there.... hows life?" recorded somewhere in '84 and released around 1991.
There are still a number of web sites that offer old live stuff and even the two early demos that we recorded.
If any one would like to offer me these demo's then fuckin fair play! I could buy em, but, well, erm.
The band toured continously throughout the UK & Europe (the very first gig being support to the Varukers at a club in Preston circa 1982ish. Our van crashed and tipped on its side on the way home and we all ended up with guitars and amps on top of us. Another early gig was at the Palm Cove club, Bradford),and performed with Flux of Pink Indians, Crucifix, Discharge, Amebix, Chumbawumba - to name a few.

Another Round of Request... and a Personal Favorite
This is a two pronged post. First is a request from Wedge, Betrayed's first release.
This is a cassette rip, and my copy is kind of old, but over all, its a good copy. And I know, I promised you the Dead Ends and GI & the Idiots, but unfortunately I don't have it with me right now. But I did one better by posting IOV's Another Destructive Century!!!
I've already posted IOV's release over at Slobo's Only In It For The Music, but just in case you haven't downloaded it yet...
I'll post the Dead Ends and GI's as soon as I get them.
The second phase is my favorite band - DOOM!
Their split with Extinction of Mankind and with Cress.

An Apology of Sorts
I've been browsing thru my posts these past months and I saw a lot of "Comments" that I never saw before, like requests and requests for Re-ups for the deleted links. I don't know what happened but I always check the comments sections but it wasn't there when I checked them. And Now...Back to Our Regular Programming
Here's a band that needs no introduction, the sadly defunct Antischism. This is the only record I have from Antischism, so if you have their EP's and their Complete Discography from I think Allied Records and feel like sharing it, just post it in the comments.
The other one is the German crust band, Cluster Bomb Unit, who recently visited our country, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the because of personal reasons (I'm still kicking myself). Anyways, here's their 2003 7" in release called Last Band Standing.

The Meat Puppets hail from Tempe, Arizona and they've been called "Cow Punks" since their music marry Punk with Country and Bluegrass! But don't be put off by the moniker, this band kicks ass. Misfits' Tribute to the Ramones
Good day to y’all! I’m very excited about this post. My friend gave a copy of this CD a couple of days ago. It’s the Misfits’ live Ramones Tribute! The Misfits here are Jerry Only on bass and vocals, Dez Cadena on guitars and Marky Ramone on drums (same lineup in the Project 1950). Recorded Live in different locations like Argentina, Portugal and Brazil. The sound quality is OK. So what are you waiting for…

Back from Virus
It’s been a long time, I’ve been very busy, plus the fact that I had a Trojan virus in my computer which was not detected by my previous Anti-Virus. That shit slowed down my Upload (8 kbps) and Download (20 kbps) speeds. It took me 2 hours just to upload 1 CD. FFFUUUUUUCCCCK!
I’m cool now. I changed my anti-virus and back to normal speed. AWRAYT!!! I was actually thinking of quitting this blogging thing but I simply can’t. This thing keeps me SANE. lol.
Well, I’m back to school now, getting another degree. A degree that would help me go places, at least that’s what I was hoping. Hehe. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Anyways, enough about me and let’s go to my post. This isa different from my usual post since my wife asked me if I could lessen the Crust and the Hardcore stuff for it might damage Dylan’s hearing. Well, anything for my kid.
Now, I kind of lay off from the loud stuff and returned to basics, the not so noisy stuff whenever I play music around the house. So, I’m back with my earphones whenever I'm playing some loud stuff.
So, without further blah blah, here’s the Undertones self-titled album, Gang of Four’s Return the Gift. Originally, it’s a double CD. Disc 1 is comprised of Gang of Four’s back catalog re-recorded by the band. It’s a pretty neat outing. But I didn’t include the Disc 2 for in my opinion it’s just rubbish! Because it’s a remix CD done by bands such as Hot Hot Heat and the like and sounded very disco. So, I’m not going to waste my time ripping and uploading that shit!
Also posted was a classic one from the Buzzcocks-Love Bites, Mission of Burma’s first 12” release, Signals, Calls and Marches, Alternative TV's Radio Sessions and Wire's On Returning which covers their first three albums plus non album tracks.

Ramones Kiss Ass
Well, it’s pretty obvious that I’m a Ramones Maniac. And this post is dedicated to the “greatest band” in the world. You can argue with me all day but that thing will stay. Any band Motorhead wrote a song for deserves this title.
On SPIN magazine’s February 2002 issue. The magazine featured “The 50 Greatest Bands”. Of course, the Beatles got the top spot, but surprisingly, the Number 2 spot went to Ramones (they’re still the greatest in my book). Here’s the complete write up of the Ramones:

Dead Kennedys Live at the On Broadway
Well, here’s another live video. This time from the Dead Kennedys’ performance at On Broadway Theatre in San Francisco, California on June 16, 1984.
I’ve learned my lesson now the Minor Threat video I uploaded was the AVI file from the original disc. I was too lazy converting it to MPEG or DivX or any smaller formats that it caused problems. So now, I’ve converted it to DivX, so it’s smaller and fewer files.

This One’s For Dirk!!!
I can’t imagine Dirk’s gone. I thought he was recovering. He was so young. I’m so stomped. I don’t know what to say, except that he’s a loss to the blogging community. I’ve been dealing with “deaths” the last couple of posts, and now this one. You’ll definitely be missed.
I can’t fucking segue to my post with Dirk's death lingering on my mind. Fuck it, here it is. Proto Punks, bands and artists that in one way or another inspired punk rock.
There’s one artist/band that always comes to mind as the progenitors of punk, Iggy & the Stooges. The Ramones idolized them, Pistols and The Damned covered them. They’re live performances are way out there and Iggy’s the consummate frontman.
After recieving a beating from a Michigan gang member, Iggy went on air in a local radio station the next day and challenged the whole gang to watch their gig that evening and do they’re worst. The result was the legendary Live Album Metallic KO. The recording was lo-fi, but you can clearly here bottles crashing in the background and the constant taunting of Iggy. This is actually a cross between a concert and a riot! Totally awesome! And this one’s for you Dirk!!!
The Dictators - Go Girl Crazy
New York Dolls was formed in 1971. They were lumped in the then glitter rock scene though their sound can be traced to Rolling Stones than T.Rex. It’s hard rock and some semblance of proto punk. They were cited along with Iggy and MC5 as progenitors of punk.

Television started a tad earlier than the Ramones and their sound is not punk as we know it, though very creative. Television started out with Tom Verlain on guitars and vocals and Richard Hell (bass and vocals). Richard Hell went on to form the Heartbreakers with Johnny Thunders and the Voidoids. It also featured Richard Lloyd on guitars and Fred “Sonic’ Smith, formerly of MC5 replaced Hell.

Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground, were also cited as one of the Proto Punks. Though most of the bands they've influenced are more in the indie way, like Jesus and Marychain, Psychedelic Furs (they actually got their name from Venus in Furs) and so on. Here are some of the memorable solo efforts of Lou Reed:

I should have posted MC5, though most of their albums we’re already featured on other blogs. Next up is the Dictators. Steven Van Zandt called them "The connective tissue between the eras of The MC5, Stooges, NY Dolls, and the punk explosion of the mid to late 70's. They played pop/surf/punk/metal music, led by Pro Wrestler Handsome Dick Manitoba, guitarists Ross the Boss (who later founded Manowar). This still hold some occasional reunion shows up to this date.
